Martinez previously spent 13 years at Entercom’s WXSS-FM as music director and assistant program director.

In an email Brian Kelly, vice president of operations for Entercom in Milwaukee, confirmed her departure and said that he would absorb her programing duties.

Kelly said Entercom was now looking for an assistant program director and music director who can also do middays on WMYX.

Applicants were invited to write to [email protected].

Martinez and the station recently had a rough time replacing Kidd O’Shea as morning co-anchor with Elizabeth Kay. In August O’Shea was replaced with mid-day announcer Mike Mason.

In September Mason was replaced by Wes McCane from WXSS-FM.

Martinez told AllAccess.com:

“I have had a wonderful 18 years at Entercom and learned a lot and carry all of that knowledge forward to my next opportunity. And, while today is obviously a sad day for me, I am ready for a new challenge. I appreciate everyone who has reached out to me.”
