The Packer loss merits barely an asterisk in a consequential and tragic weekend during which Various bathed themselves in the red, white and blue colors of the French flag.

Join us tonight at City Hall for a moment of reflection to honor the victims of the Paris attacks.
— Mayor Tom Barrett (@MayorOfMKE)
-The East Town Association will be erecting the scale model that is usually reserved for the city’s Bastille Day celebration in solidarity with the people of Paris. The tower is being put up near City Hall, and a vigil will be held there at 5:15 p.m. Monday.

–The idea of erecting the tower apparently came from Emmy winning WITI-TV (Channel 6) anchor / reporter . He wrote on Twitter, after the Paris attacks:
Put Bastille Days Eiffel Tower in Cathedral Square. stands w/ Paris.

*** –All local stations reported aggressively on the Republican presidential candidate debate last week since it was held in Milwaukee. But there was little local love for the Democratic candidate held in Iowa that aired Saturday on CBS. The only local TV reporter to, apparently, watch the Dem debate and write about it on Twitter? of CBS affiliate WDJT-TV (Channel 58) which aired the debate.

–Oh, and one more thing. The Packers haven’t won since McDonald’s began an ad campaign featuring former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka wearing a Packer sweater.
The curse is real!
