Chase Cain we hardly knew ye. Literally.
Cain spent just four weeks at WISN-TV (Channel 12) as morning show co-anchor before loading up the truck and moving to Beverly … Hills, adjacent that is.
He has apparently landed at KNBC-TV in Los Angeles.
Cain was hired in May at WISN in large part because of his digital footprint – he was called a “social media anchor” in Orlando – and was on the air in Milwaukee sporadically before leaving in August.
His tenure was one of the briefest in Milwaukee TV history.
The station had no comment regarding the circumstances of his departure.
He continued to post random observations and musings on Twitter, where his handle recently changed to . His personal/professional website does not list his WISN tenure, nor does his , which does credit him as a producer at Hulu.
Here’s a link to a story he filed at KNBC on pre-Black Friday shoppers.
He previously received a KNBC byline on a story about counterfeit merchandise filed by another reporter. His profile is not listed on the KNBC website leading one to wonder whether he is a freelance or part time reporter.
Maybe someday he’ll do a story on what the heck happened at WISN.

Milwaukee musicians Joe Wong and Didier Leplae have composed the score for the acclaimed new Netflix series “Master of None.”
The show was created by and stars comedian Aziz Ansari, late of “Parks and Recreation” and is a clever, funny and touching series about a thirtysomething looking for love while trying to make it as an actor in New York.
Wong and Leplae created the score for the films “The Pool” and “Collapse,” by the Milwaukee area filmmaker Chris Smith who co-directed “American Movie.”
They also composed scores for “The Yes Men” “Modus Operandi” and “The 414s,” a short film about computer hackers from Milwaukee.
Wong hosts the podcast and radio show “The Trap Set,” about drummers.
And according to his Wikipedia page moved to a cottage in Northern Wisconsin after college where “he practiced drums for 14 hours a day.”

Read it and weep.
Four days later it’s still true – the Green Bay Packers were humbled by the Chicago Bears, in front of a national, prime time audience driven into a tryptophan coma by the team’s performance.
Preliminary ratings show that the rain-soaked game, which featured a half time appearance by former Packer quarterbacks Bret Favre and Bart Starr, earned a 44.1 rating on Milwaukee NBC affiliate WTMJ-TV (Channel 4) between 7 and 10:30 p.m. The rating does not reflect that the actual end time of the game.
Since the A.C. Nielsen company reduced the number of TV homes per rating point in Milwaukee by 110 homes to 8,822 in November, that means 389,050 Milwaukee area TV homes tuned into the game.
