WISN-TV (Channel 12) newscasts at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. won their time slots during the November Sweeps.
There is also a virtual tie at 6 a.m. between WISN and perennial morning leader WITI-TV. The two are separated by .01 of a point.
And WTMJ-TV (Channel 4) moved into second place at 10 p.m. with a 5.7.
WTMJ was down a half point since last year and was in last place in February climbed .3 since October.
WITI is a close third at 10 p.m. with a 5.4 5.5.
Those figures could change following Wednesday’s rating results.
WTMJ has still not announced a replacement for 10 p.m. anchor Mike Jacobs, who left the station in May.
Steve Chamraz is now anchoring that broadcast with Carole Meekins. WTMJ was in fourth place in February. WISN was the only station whose 10 p.m. ratings did not drop compared to last year.
Cumulatively the 10 p.m. newscast time period lost a total of 21,172 TV households since last year.
A rating point is the equivalent of 8,822 television homes, a drop of 110 since October.
The final news ratings in the November survey, are:
— 6 a.m – WISN, 5.43; WITI, 5.37 5.42; WTMJ, 2.9; WDJT-TV (Channel 58), 0.9;
–5 p.m. – WISN, 7.2; WTMJ, 5.1; WITI, 3.7 3.6; WDJT, 3.2;
–6 p.m. – WISN, 6.3; WDJT (Jeopardy), 6.5; WTMJ, 4.8; WITI, 4.5;
–10 p.m. – WISN, 6.4; WTMJ, 5.7; WITI, 5.4, 5.5; WDJT, 4.0;
