According to RadioInsight.com, Milwaukee Radio Alliance station WLDB-FM – aka B93 – switched formats Wednesday.
Out with the bathwater was veteran local announcer Jane Matenaer, who was morning show co-host for five years.
“I am now available to meet for breakfast,” Matenaer wrote on , which featured a photo of a butterfly on a microphone. She thanks her listeners for their messages of support and “if I were able I would hug each and ever one of you,” she wrote.
The station switched to a format called ,” What? No hashtag?
According to RadioInsight, the station is calling the change “a facelift as opposed to an all-out format change” and completes its “evolution to Hot AC” which brings it in competition to WMYX-FM and “the markets three CHR’s musically.”
According to Radio Insight the “Trending Radio” brand name comes from Riviera Broadcasting’s Hot 97.5/103.9 KMVA/KEXX Phoenix, “which uses it as a positioning statement and secondary branding.”
According to Radio and Television Business Report in Phoenix “Trending Radio” plays artists like Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons and Bruno Mars.
